Lincoln Center and its official coffee sponsor Nespresso our proud to introduce the Prelude Café & Bar Curated by Nespresso, the campus’s newest dining attraction, inside Alice Tully Hall’s iconic glass lobby. The newly designed café at the corner of Broadway and 65th Street in Manhattan is an intersection of culinary creativity and excellence in the arts.

The Prelude Café & Bar Curated by Nespresso will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, serving an all-day menu—including pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrées—inspired by Nespresso coffee. Many of the items complement Nespresso’s line of products, while others incorporate them into sophisticated recipes. 

The menu has been created by Restaurant Associates, Lincoln Center’s resident caterer, and Executive Chef Justin Rowe, in collaboration with Nespresso. The Prelude Café & Bar Curated by Nespresso will also offer a unique lineup of coffee drinks and cocktails, brewed with Nespresso’s signature Espresso.

In addition to the new menu, the café space was entirely reimagined by photographer and designer Sylvère Azoulai. Azoulai, who has worked with Nespresso worldwide for over 20 years, artfully redesigned the space with a modern aesthetic and a nod to Nespresso’s iconic capsule shape and multihued colors. The café is furnished with custom design elements as well as a proprietary lattice-work motif that connotes music and movement. An eye-catching piece of lenticular artwork is the centerpiece of the space, which Nespresso commissioned Azoulai to create. Entitled “Intervalles et Mesures,” the piece pays tribute to both the art of performance and the art of Nespresso.

Nespresso, the worldwide pioneer and reference in premium single-serve coffee and espresso, is exclusively served at several Lincoln Center venues, including Lincoln Center Kitchen and the café inside David Geffen Hall, the intermission bars at both David Geffen Hall and Alice Tully Hall, and all Lincoln Center administrative and executive offices. Only a small proportion of the world’s green coffee meets Nespresso’s standards for quality, taste, and aroma, and all capsules are packaged in aluminum, a material that preserves the quality and freshness of coffee and can be recycled over and over again.

Prelude Café & Bar Curated by Nespresso marks the latest dining venue at Lincoln Center, which already boasts several recognized dining options at the world’s largest performing arts center. In addition to Prelude Café & Bar Curated by Nespresso, Lincoln Center is home to the acclaimed Lincoln Ristorante, the Grand Tier Restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center Kitchen, and indie food and wine, as well as outposts of ’wichcraft at the David Rubenstein Atrium and Amy’s Bread at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
